Vacationing, my reset!
Vacationing is a necessary break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is a time to relax, unwind, and recharge our batteries. A vacation can be as simple as a weekend getaway or as extravagant as a two-week trip overseas. Whatever the length or destination, taking a vacation is crucial to our mental and physical health.
The benefits of vacationing are plentiful. It allows us to disconnect from work and the stresses of our daily routine, which in turn helps to reduce our levels of anxiety and stress. The relaxation that comes with vacationing can also help us sleep better, which is essential to maintaining our overall health and well-being. Vacationing also provides an opportunity to spend quality time with our loved ones. We often get so caught up in our busy schedules that we don't have time to connect with our family and friends. Going on a vacation together can create lifelong memories and strengthen our relationships.
Recently we took our family to Jackson Wyoming we were able to reset in the beautiful wintery scenery and gain a fresh perspective on life. We spent time exploring the Teton mountain range taking photos of the snow-covered range. We were able to meet up with my cousin and his family that just moved to Jackson from Florida a few months ago to have dinner. We chose a lovely Thai restaurant called Annies Thai Kitchen. After dinner, we walked through the town square and spent time shopping and enjoying not having anywhere to go. After a little shopping, we all went swimming in the amazing indoor-outdoor pool at the hotel we stayed in. The next day was spent on the slopes of Jackson Hole. My husband and I have skied our entire lives but we haven't skied outside of the resorts near Salt Lake City Utah. Experiencing skiing in a ski town was fun. The snow was different, as we were told it would be, but it was icier than I think we expected. It was a large mountain and a ton to explore we will have to go back again. After a long day of skiing, we had to pack up and head back home. We had a nice dinner with my cousin and his family and headed back to Salt Lake City in the dark. As we drove home through small towns in Idaho, I imagined what it would be like to live a slow life in the middle of nowhere
For us vacationing is not a luxury, but a necessity. It is essential to our mental and physical health, and it provides us with numerous benefits. Whether it's a short weekend getaway or an extended trip, taking a vacation allows us to relax, recharge, and return to our daily lives with renewed energy and motivation. So, if you haven't taken a vacation in a while, it's time to start planning one. Your mind and body will thank you for it.
