Engagement photos

I was given the oppertunity to take some engagment photos this last weekend, for a really cute couple Jon and Jessica. They wanted a carnival theam so we were off to Lagoon. The pictures turned out so cute even without a good flash! I think for my first ever couple shoot I did pretty good and I am really excited to shoot the bridals and the wedding! They are such a cute couple!

Sunset has to be the best time to photograph anything. I love walking outside and capturing the light on the garden in my front yard. It has been so nice to beable to just relax looking at the beauty in the yard after work and knowing I don't have to go far to just get away from the insanity of life.

LIGHT PAINTING?!?!

Light painting is something I have seen and always wanted to learn how to do..... with all my spare time now that I have no renovations at my house I can do I now have the time to pay with it!  With the help of the kids in my neighborhood and their creativity I was able to shoot these great pictures.... at least I think they are great being my first try at it! I am totally in love with this style of photography!!! It is so much fun and you can do so much with it. I am excited to try again SOON!

Begining again

Life is a whirlwind of absolute craziness!  5 years ago I took the leap and got married to my wonderful husband that I cant imagine life with out and with that was dropped into a life of renovations with the house he already owned. We started with an addition and finally finished it 4 years later! So we thought on to the next project.... but wait I got laid off so now that will have to wait! So with the loss of my job and therefor the loss of money I am now needing something to fill my time instead of renovation. So I picked up my camera again after 5 years and decided to dive back into photography that I once loved so much. So this is my attempt to learn all there is to know about photography and have fun in the process! ENJOY
